The Los Angeles Chapter of J.U.G.S. international Inc., is proud to share some information with you about the activities and accomplishments of this Chapter.

The Los Angeles Chapter has been actively involved in local and national politics.  We have supported and campaigned for Senator hopeful Rod Wright and the Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama.  The members have participated in Fundraisers and volunteered our time and services at community rallies.

There are other  community organizations such the Brotherhood Crusade and the African American Unity Center that we have given our time and support to for programs like the Annual Neighborhood Community Concert held at the Nate Holden Center for the Performing Arts.  This concert series is an outreach and community education program designed to bring live concerts to local community venues.  This provides inner city youth and their families with meaningful and cultural musical experiences.

We have also actively participated with the Brotherhood Crusade in feeding the homeless along with many other prominent local agencies and organizations based in Los Angeles.

The woman of the Los Angeles Chapter have also worked with and supported LAAWPAC (Los Angeles African America Woman Political Action Committee).  We support them as they continue their work for the advancement of woman in politics.

We have also had members of the Los Angeles Chapter recognized by various local organizations, such as Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.  One of our own, Charisse Bremond-Weaver was nominated as the Woman of the Year by the Lambda Pi Zeta Chapter.

The Los Angeles Chapter in partnership with BHERC (The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Centers) Annual African Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase.  One of the many highlights of our support of the organization was the celebration of sisterhood, honoring Black Woman Directors.  It was wonderful seeing and hearing strong African American Woman in Film and Television doing there thing in a male dominated industry.
